Nick holds degrees in the visual arts from Washtenaw Community College (Photography), Eastern Michigan University (Painting and Drawing), and Kendall College of Art and Design (Drawing). Nick currently teaches at Nevada’s Truckee Community College. He works primarily in drawing, painting, and photography, and has experience with digital work and installation. Much of his current work focuses on drawing the figure, where he questions psychology, identity and interdependence. He increasingly has an interest in taking up sculpture to explore similar themes.
Nick has an extensive exhibition record and has received awards in regional, national and international juried shows around the country. Selected venues include ArtPrize, Cincinnati’s Manifest Gallery, Chicago’s Union Street Gallery, The Lexington Art League in Kentucky, University of Indianapolis, University of North Carolina, New York’s Brooklyn Artist’s Gym and Limner Gallery, The Atlanta Fine Arts League, Fontbonne University in Missouri, and The Santa Cruz Art League. His work is also held in several private collections.
